ALERT: Heavy Rain Warning - Drive Safely This Weekend

Severe weather conditions expected across major highways this weekend. Meteorologists predict heavy rainfall that could lead to dangerous driving conditions including reduced visibility and potential flooding on low-lying roads.

Safety Tips for Driving in Heavy Rain:

- Reduce your speed and maintain a safe following distance

- Turn on your headlights to improve visibility

- Avoid using cruise control on wet roads

- If visibility becomes too poor, pull over safely and wait for conditions to improve

- Be cautious of hydroplaning, especially on highways

Stay updated with local weather reports and plan your journey accordingly. If travel is not essential, consider postponing until conditions improve.
